Corbin E-Store Shopping Cart

Corbin has implemented a secure, 128-bit encrypted database system for handling web purchases using credit cards. The new Shopping Cart system lets you click on a symbol of a shopping cart to add items to your proposed list of purchases, from an illustrated page with brief descriptions of the products. When you are ready to "check out", the list is shown with current prices, and a total with estimated shipping cost is also displayed. You can then enter the name and address for shipping, as well as a name and address for billing (if different), and a credit card number and expiration date (VISA or MasterCard are accepted).

The account information is taken over a secure server, using 128-bit data encryption. Your card information is secure and will not be seen by anyone other than the order desk. The card is NOT billed automatically. Instead, because of the possibility that you might have ordered something that would require some clarification or review, all orders are simply stored in encrypted form on the secure server until an actual person reviews them, determines if there are any questions that should be asked regarding the purchase, and if not, then and only then is the order processed and the credit card billed.

Items that are out of stock, or items which might need further details, such as sizes, shapes, or changes to work better with other items previously purchased, are not charged to your card until they are actually ready to ship, and any questions are cleared up. The charge is run manually, on a secure terminal, and not by the web server software. Notification is sent to you when the order is downloaded, with any immediate questions sent to you at the e-mail address requested on the order form.
